Marathon training - Week 4
31st August 2008 to 6th September 2008
Distance - 16 kms
Day 3, 2nd Sep - 8 Kms (Max HR: 193, Ave HR: 182)
Day 5, 4th Sep - 4 Kms (Max HR: 217, Ave HR: 190)
Day 7, 6th Sep - 4 Kms (Max HR: 206, Ave HR: 195)
Location - Treadmill, Gym
Shoes - Mizuno
It was a good week after two weeks of inactivity. I hope this continues for the following weeks. My heart rate is still quite high reaching more than100% every time I run. The first 8 Kms was good with 95% but the next two runs were quite strenuous. I guess the body needs to rest more.
I also squeezed in couple of weight exercises just so I add a bit of strength. I haven’t started to focus on my diet yet and it is quite irregular at the moment. But focus on that would come a bit later once I am putting enough mileage every week.
