Marathon training summary - 4 weeks after
If you have been reading regularly you probably know that I am training for a Marathon in December and my target is to do it under 5 hours. I know this is not a very ambitious target that requires a continuous blog post but nevertheless it is a big one for me.
I started training 4 weeks ago and out of that, 2 weeks have been pretty miserable with hardly any workout. But here are the stats:
Total distance: 37.6 kms
Heart Rate: Has been above 90% of my max HR
Shoes: Mizuno
Pain: Muscle ache everytime I do a long run. As my HR shoots up, I find it quite difficult going from the 4th to 6th km.
Target for next 4 weeks: 75 kms
I am mostly running on a treadmill in the gym at my apartment. I am not sure of there is a huge difference in running on a machine and running outside in terms of effort required. But training on a treadmill is quite convenient for me at the moment and I see myself continuing it for the next 4 weeks too.
