Marathon training - Week 5
7th September 2008 to 13th September 2008
Distance - 22.2 kms
Day 3, 9th Sep - 9 Kms (Max HR: 199, Ave HR: 190)
Day 4, 10th Sep - 4 Kms (Max HR: 220, Ave HR: 171)
Day 5, 11th Sep - 4.2 Kms (Max HR: 194, Ave HR: 184)
Day 7, 13th Sep - 5 Kms (Max HR: 190, Ave HR: 175)
Location - Treadmill, Gym
Shoes - Mizuno
It was another productive week. I expected to do about 20 Kms but ended up doing a bit more. The Max HR on day 4 seems to be a problem in reading. The HR belt must have lost contact momentarily.
The Day 7 run was very tiring. I think the problem was two fold. I did not hydrate well on Friday and slept only for about 4 hrs. I think this made me very tiring and out of breath during my run. I stopped after 4 Kms and had to open the gym door to let some fresh air. Then continued running for one more KM and stopped. I was actually looking forward to do about 10 KM today. But maybe another day.
Also, I am installing a new software that will let me install Windows on my Mac. I intend to install a software called SportTracks which can provide a lot more insight on how I am developing as a runner.
